Montgomery Community Media, February 2013-Present

Instructed members of the public in professional video production for broadcast. Edited and prepared videos for broadcast and web distribution. Assisted lead instructors in classes for members of the community. Provided script preparation, teleprompter operation, pre-production and post-production video processing support for MONTGOMERY WEEK IN REVIEW. Ran Computer Graphics for live to tape productions. Worked in studio in positions such as Assistant Director, Floor Director, Teleprompter Operator, and Digital Recording Supervisor. Tested and certified students of the field production class on safe and efficient handling of the equipment in HD field production kits. Utilized software package FACIL to record equipment and studio reservation and manage media for library and playback.

Prince George’s Community Television, November 2011 to May 2012

Support staff for award winning community television studio in Prince George’s County. Operated HD Studio Broadcast Cameras for productions including the PGCTV daily news cast, “Arts About The County” and “A Different Look.” Created visual branding graphics for and edited “Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Most Wanted” to air in Spring 2012. Edited “Sojourn with Words at Busboys and Poets.” Greeted guests, and helped guests with microphone lavaliers. Assisted with lighting levels for productions. Helped to set up studio for multiple productions.

Performance Video Systems, Washington DC, January 2011-May 2011.

Contracted to support producers and directors in use of cutting edge video production technology for live events.  Created Data asset management system and on-line digital video library.  Edited high definition video for military organizations, government organizations, and non-profit groups. Operated ultra-high definition camera RED ONE. Provided on-site technical A/V support for live events. Assembled large scale high definition LED screens. Prepared Graphics for LED displays with custom aspect ratios. Expertly worked with team members to operate large video projection systems. Generated robust power point presentations to help clients visualize event video proposals.

Contract editor. Edited videos of events, training sessions, and theatrical presentations on Final Cut Pro.  Shot art openings at galleries on Cannon xl2.  Compressed and uploaded video content to the web. Translated Power Point presentations in videos with Graphics.

United Press International, Washington D.C. September 2008-June 2009

Produced, recorded, edited, and uploaded daily ‘man on the street’ (MOS) interview videos for the Issue of the Day section on UPI.COM. Collaborated with team that shaped daily questions for the MOS. Randomly stopped over 75 people each day on Washington DC streets to get video 12 informed reactions to headlines. Shot video with Sony HVR-V1U camera. Edited pieces on Final Cut Pro. Used Compressor to finish for web. Selected to work with team for 2009 Inauguration of the President of the United States. Suggested and researched stories for UPI health and military pages. Used social networking tools (Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and others) to promote video content.

ABC NewsOne, Washington DC. 2005-2008.

Editing Digital Video on AVID Xpress Pro. Training in Avid Media Manager. Duties in exchange for training include ingesting to dv from analog video sources, creating new projects, bins, clips for assignments, assembling 3 minute to 10 minute pieces with sound on tape, voiceovers, and Graphics. Logging tapes using time codes and locators. Used latest HD cameras, lighting equipment, and digital sound recorders. Edited with tapeless workflow.

St. John’s College vs. USNA on HometownAnnapolis.com on 4/20/09 resulting in over 2,500 hits in one week. Posted CNNiReport 5/20/09 resulting in over 10,000 hits in twenty-four hour period.
